Game overview
What to Expect From Anno 1800
Each product binds several industries
The factories depend on raw materials and supplies, and the expansion of one chain makes sense only when the rest of the chain is able to cope with a new burden.
Urban growth makes supply more difficult
Development opens up new demands for people and technology; beautiful planning is not enough: the city needs productive production and delivery.
Trade routes connect the economy
Resources and goods have to be transported between territories, and remote settlements become parts of the same economic system.
Campaign and free construction
You can master the economy in a single game, and there's a network co-operative in the original, but the main activity is urban governance anyway.
Extension requires calculation.
New production increases costs and supply requirements, and the game will suit those who like to look for the cause of the deficit and rebuild chains.
